Country furniture is a broad description that includes furniture styles from Country English, Country French, European Country as well as American Country. The design of country furniture is often derived from a more formal version, but is simplified in shape, detail, and materials used. French Country is one example, where the shape follows formal French but has fewer carvings and inlays and typically a different wood species.
