English furniture design encompasses styles over hundreds of years and were influenced by many rulers and designers from whose names the styles are often named. The Eighteenth century alone created styles such as William & Mary, Queen Anne, Georgian, Chippendale and Hepplewhite. All of whom greatly impacted the design and styles of furniture we have to choose from today.
